Hello, my name is Redeite Moges! I am a recent graduate student at the University of Washington, where I pursued a master's degree in Information Management (MSIM) with a focus on User Experience Design and Research. I graduated with my bachelor’s degree in June 2020 from the School of Social Work. My goal is to use UX research and human-centered design to merge my passion for social work and technology to make products and services more accessible to marginalized and underrepresented communities. In my spare time, I enjoy going for walks by the lake, watching K-dramas, and spending quality time with my family and friends.

Values

Empathy

Coming from a social work background, empathy and compassion are at the core of my discipline. With this mindset, I strive to work with my clients rather than work for them. By cultivating empathy, I am able to build customer-centric and user-friendly products and services. To understand my users, I have created 3 interview protocols and conducted user research across 3 teams this year alone.

Collaboration

One of the most critical aspects of UX design and research is collaboration. I consider my ability to work efficiently with others through open communication and attentive listening to be a valuable skill I have gained from my current and previous work with teams. I have worked with over 8 cross-functional teams this year alone in my graduate program and delivered over 6 products.

Quality

I am passionate about producing work that is both functional and high quality, I love designing and researching, and I pay close attention to my craft. Design thinking, user testing, and agile thinking, in my opinion, are essential components for producing high-quality work. One of my UX design project, obtained a 100 percent higher user preference than its previous PDF format.
